Sending out audiobook codes! Launch in 3 days (Tuesday in the morning)! I had to request audiobook codes, since pre-order was being a little weird. However, if you're okay with mp3s (which you can listen to from your phone) that helps me a lot.

A little short ot some Stretch Goals but thats okay! Still so grateful for such amazing fans and friends. Finalizing Beta Edits for the audibook today then sending it to Michael - tons of rewards shipping ASAP!

All ebook/Audiobooks will be AUGUST 22nd.

All physical set for October (being shipped from overseas via ship and will land at my house to be signed and shipped October 10th).

As for stretch goals and making up the remainder of costs first, I noticed everyone’s tips - thank you so much - also I had a very generous insider Patron reach out (very thankful), and I’ll see how we can budget and make it work so we do sacrifice on quality for the audiobook whatsover.

It's out!

If you haven't seen! Starting off a little slower... We're at $1800 out of $5000, and this KS hit $10,000 in the first few hours XD I know audiobooks vs hardcovers is different, and not everyone is an audiobook fan, but any support means so so much.

Q:  Why the audio Kickstarter? 

A:  Well first off, Audiobooks are awesome. I'm always a fan of the physical thing. You really can't  beat a great paperback or hardcover signed and well loved to sit on your shelf and admire for the ages (espcially these special editions - a note on those below and all the exciting additions - can't wait for those to ship soon). However, a well narrated book by an award-winning narrator like Michael Kramer can really bring some characters to life. 

Second reason for the Kickstarter, is costs 😬 Things are a tad pricey and it's always a bit of a toughy trying to budget for such massive talent. I can't skimp and get a subpar narration, but a good narrator can be difficult to afford. Here's a breakdown:

Michael Kramer who is narrating is around $600-650 per finished hour. 

At around a 20 hour book, so $12,000, so our $5000 goal is just to help offset some costs (not counting the material costs for the rewards). So that said, every penny, every tip helps this amazing audiobook become a reality. I couldn’t do it without you…  Literally.  Your generosity means so much.

Also, as promised, an update on hardcover and paperback Kickstarter special editions! 

Since we're doing offset printing (for such a large run of books) they are FINALLY all designed and being printed and I've gotten a final date they will arrive to be signed. September 6th. And they are stunning, if I don't mind saying so... Here's a look at some of the additions that I've added because I wanted to make these even more special as a thank you and to make these TRUE collector's editions: 

• embossed lettering
• gold foil
• beautiful trim
• artwork printed on the hardcover cloth page when the dust jacket is removed
• upgraded heavy weight creme pages
• tons of interior artwork including 4 NEW ones by Flavio Bolla. So so excited to sign and ship these to you amazing backers.

Hi all!

First off, huzzah! SKYTHIEF is done, and we're onto publication 😎

However,  and this is a good however, we've gotten an additional option that we CAN include in the collector's edition hardcover (for every Silver Level and above).

And... I'd love your input. The options are for a book edges to be gilded in a metallic of our choosing of any other color.  Here's a sample of classic gold gilded pages.

A) Metallic Gold Edging

B) Metallic Silver Edge

C) Other color (metallic or non metallic blue/green/orange etc)

D) No colored or metallic, leave it clean, Matt!

It'll be about an additional $600 for the first run of these collector editions with the gilding... I'm open to accepting some additional funding for this but haven't though out how. But I'm also totally open to just paying it myself since you all have been amazing, patient, and the best all around. Truly grateful.
